High Performance Polymers represents a series of polyamide 12 powders (PA 12) sold under the trade name VESTOSINT®. The powders are manufactured by a special physical process and feature a nearly round particle geometry, which cannot be reproduced by conventional pulverization technologies.
The superior properties of PA 12, which are also featured by PA 12 powders, are:
high toughness
very good resistance to greases, oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids,water, alkalis, saline solutions and many organic solvents
very good stress cracking resistance, even when exposed to chemicals
low coefficient of sliding friction and high abrasion resistance even when running dry
noise and vibration damping
The VESTOSINT® powders are used in a variety of processes for coating metal, as fine powders for improving the properties of lacquers and for producing thermoplastic composites.
